An Adventure Travel Group is different than a regular vacation because instead of sitting by a beach or pool for a week, you get to experience a true adventure that gets your adrenaline pumping and gives you memories to treasure for a life time.
There are a lot of adventure travel groups to choose from depending on what you like to do. Adventure cycling groups ride though the country side in small groups allowing them to go places large tour buses cannot. These groups ride 40-60 miles per day, stopping to take in incredible views, meet local villagers and try new foods. Some of the most popular places to cycle are: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Chile, Argentina and Canada.
Another popular adventure is to go on an African Safari. In this group adventure travel you will find yourself immersed in some of the densest concentrations of wildlife on earth. You will see gazelle, buffalo, elephant, lion and many types of birds and small animals. You will get to interact with locals and immerse yourself in their culture. Lodging on this type of adventure may include small lodges on some nights but the majority of your time may be spent in tents. This group will not require you to be as physically fit as some of the other groups as you spend a lot of time in open air jeeps and not as much time traveling by foot.
Small group adventure travel to Nepal & the Himalayas is for those that can handle a lot of walking and rafting. These groups will let you see first hand where the people of Nepal live, farm and pray. You will trek through mountainous terrain giving you incredible views of the hillsides and the sweeping valleys. You can raft down a river through untouched forest and even ride an elephant though the jungle.
Another place small group adventure travel may visit is Central America. A popular thing to do is to explore the route of the Maya. This adventure will bring you close and personal with many Mayan ruins. You can climb to the top and wonder how they built such amazing structures in-line with solar and lunar calendars without modern day machinery. You will also explore the jungle and how descendants of the ancient Maya are keeping their culture alive.
