Here’s how it works, generally: Let’s assume there’s a 7-night cruise that’s normally $1000 per cabin. When booking a group cruise, for your church youth group, the rates would be marked up a specified amount say $100, bringing the total cost to $1100 per cabin. The extra $100 doesn’t go to the cruise line; it goes to your Church. Also some cruise lines match that $100 with another donation of their own. So for every cabin booked in this example, $200 would go to your organization. So, say you book 50 cabins - Your church would get $10,000 that can be used for general expenses of your church or for a specific area of the church.

This is one of the best fundraisers your church can have. On top of the fund-raising, you are providing a way for the Church Youth Group to travel. They could be provided a golden opportunity to take a cruise together with chaperons, and see parts of the world in depth and enjoy an exciting vacation at the same time. This tends to bond the youth spiritually together in seeing what our god has made available to us to enjoy. Daily chaperoned ministerial leadership could be set up daily in the cruise ship chapel at the end of each day to have testimony’s told about their day, and talk about what’s planned for the agenda of the next day.

Daily Agenda for your Church Youth Group Cruise

Serving as Short Term Mission Volunteers, will give you the opportunity to:
1- meet and interact directly with the children, the families and elderly we serve
2- you will witness first hand the social and economic realities of their daily existence so you will have a better understanding of the challenges they need to overcome.
3- You will experience first hand how your work as a short term mission volunteer directly impacts their lives and their future by helping them overcome the obstacles of poverty
4- You will see how the benefits of education, nutrition, clothing, medical care or improved housing can offer hope and assist families or individuals in their struggles for survival and development.

Each day will bring a stop in a new port and a different chance to help. Available service opportunities include:
1- teach children the basics of reading
2- teach Bible school and instill sound Christian values, beliefs and morals
3- teach art and crafts
4- teach basic life skills to the disadvantaged youths, example computer skills, gardening
5- provide sports training as a vehicle to teach self-esteem, team spirit, improved physical well being and cross-cultural learning
6- visit the elderly, read to them and/or help them in their homes, maybe even with minor home improvements
7- improve our recipients housing through cleaning, painting, minor repairs, or building homes or bathrooms
8- clean trash up in neighborhoods and fishing ports

At the end of the day in port, everyone meets back on the ship to enjoy the rest of their day.
