Finding a Group Leader the Good the Bad and the Ugly
The Good:
A good group leader takes a personal interest in all members of your group and provides the group with personalized travel services. They will be reliable and have a good reputation for providing superior service. You should see them as your group trip advisor, going over all of the details, letting your group in on destination secret spots, and making sure that you have the best trip possible. Great leaders have vested interest in their groups and go on the trip with you just to make sure everything runs smoothly.
A successful group travel organizer should exhibit these qualities:
A people person - If you meet with your leader and feel like you are talking to a computer, keep looking. Your leader is going to be with you for a long time, from the initial contact, through all of the planning, on your trip and there to send you on your way home. You should feel like they are a long-lost friend.
Detail Orientated - Details are going to make or break your trip. Your leader should have thought through your entire trip and planned out every detail. If they do that, you will have a great, smooth running trip even if things do not go exactly as planned.
Most group trip advisors run their own travel club. What most people do not know is that most of those travel club owners will be happy to work with your group for your trip! If you already have a group of 10 or more people that want to travel to the same place, get in contact with an advisor now.
