Group Travel Europe Educational - Romantic - Fun!
Group Travel Europe was my very first international group travel experience. I was 15 at the time and just finished my sophmore year of high school. Boy, was that trip an eye opener and the begining to all my group travel experiences. On this page you will learn about traveling to Europe or you can click through to read about group adventures to different European Countries.
There are several options you have if your group is interested in going to Europe.
1. Your group can take an escorted motor coach tour through many different European Countries.
2. Your group can take the train either with or without an escort.
3. Your group can take a European River Cruise.
4. Your group can taking either a walking or bicycle tour.

1. Escorted Motor Coach
This is probably the most popular way for groups to tour around Europe. You will fly from the major airport closest to you to one of Europe’s major airports. Once you arrive, your group travel organizer will meet you at the airport with the bus waiting. Your group will load up and head out to your hotel. Depending on the length of your tour, the number of nights you are spending at each hotel will vary. At most you will stay 3 nights in the same hotel before you pack up and head off to the next city and the next hotel. This is a great way to get a grand tour of Europe with your Group Travel Europe so the next time you visit you will know where you want to go and spend your entire vacation in one spot.
2. Train
If you have never lived in a big city, public transportation might be a foreign concept to you. Don’t worry; you won’t have to drive because Europe’s public transportation system can get you anywhere. Your Group Travel Europe tour group can purchase something called the Eurail Global Pass. This pass will let you explore 22 countries in Europe with one ticket. Currently the pass is good in these countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. This will give you more flexibility as you can travel when and where you want to without having to all go to the same place at the same time. This is great if the entire group wants to spend time together in major cities, then leave a few days for individual travel in between the major stops.
3. River Cruise

Your European travel group may prefer to take a river cruise to see the sights. The major advantage of taking a river cruise is that you unpack the day you arrive and do not have to worry about it again until you pack up to go home. Some people do much better returning to the same room every night and not having to pack and unpack daily. The Ultimate River cruise leaves from Amsterdam and ends in Budapest or you can take the cruise in reverse. You will start off with a night in Amsterdam before taking off for Cologne and Koblenz. You will see many castles in Germany and even pass the Lorelei. The cruise will offer shore excursions and usually free use of bicycles for you to explore on your own. Making your way down the Rhine your Europe Tour group will visit Rudesheim, Miltenberg, Wurzburg, and Bamberg before transitioning to the Danube River to visit Nurnberg, Regensburg, Passau, Melk, Durnstein, Vienna, Bratislava and end in Budapest. You will visit 4 European Countries during this 15 day cruise. The rivers are calm and most people do not have issues with sea-sickness as they have on the open ocean. Another benefit of taking a River Cruise is that the price you pay up front will include all gratuities, all shore excursions, all meals, most ships offer wine with dinner, your cabin, on-board activities and all taxes and fees. The members of your group can explore during the day together, or set out on their own. Everyone will meet back up at the end of the day to share their adventures.
4. Bicycle or Walking Tour Europe
