Travel the World
in Style with a
Small
Specialized Travel Group.

When you think of a travel group do you picture a large group of people walking around together wearing the same shirt and hat? Being led by a group leader (that is an employee of a large company) with a clipboard, hat and whistle?

Lucky for you, those days are long gone. Today groups are small and very personal. Most groups travel with only 10 - 40 people. You now have several options to travel with a group. You can make your own group by contacting a travel agent or you can join a group with other people with interests similar to yours. It only takes 8-10 double occupancy rooms to recieve group rates.

These groups are lead by an individual group leader. These individuals plan the entire trip themselves and lead it as well. They have a vested interest in making sure everything goes smoothly and is well planned since they own the group and are on the trip as well. Read more about group leaders and how to pick a great group.

What age do you have to be to join?
The good news is that there are groups for every age range and groups that span across many age ranges.

What are the different types clubs?
Some are formed on the simple love of travel. They travel to different parts of the world every month. Their members come from different parts of the country and span across many different generations. Check out the Explorers Travel Group.

Other travel clubs are formed because of a common bond between their members. Such as travel groups for those that love to ski or love to cruise. Travel clubs exist for those that have special dietary concerns or physically or mental disabilities. Still other groups exist based on a geographic area. These groups are formed two different ways. The first is that the all the members currently reside close to each other. Getting a group together that leaves out of the same major airport can save on airfare. A group that leaves from Chicago can have members from about 300 miles around that all meet together and leave together from Chicago.

Another way a club can be geographic based is reversed from the first. There are some clubs that always meet in a specific area such as Italy or Australia. Their members come from all over the world and meet in the particular location. Learn more about Alaska Travel Groups

No matter which group you choose be sure to read about and purchase group travel insurance.
